She would also marry George Warren Moore. She also married Warren Lee Lewis, and they had children Bonnie Lounette (Patterson) Wakeman and Bonnie Lounette (Lewis) Patterson. Agnes Billings died at age 96 years old on October 24, 2016 at At home - in Tallahassee, Leon County, and was buried on October 29, 2016 at Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee.

  • Introduction

    My mom was still in love with her second husband, Warren Lee Lewis, after she had married her third, Edward Hodge Pegram. It turns out that she had a lieason with Warren Lewis and I was the product. Having no DNA tests back in 1949, she didn't know my paternity. I was told my dad was dead, but after I found the father listed on my birth certificate, Ed Pegram, in 1979, I assumed he was my father. I wouldn't learn the truth until October 2015, at 65 years old. I learned through the internet from my half-sister, Susan Lewis King. Turns out we went to junior and senior high school in Jacksonville, FL, and we didn't know of our kinship. I have four half-siblings in all, two boys, two girls. It was such a taboo at the time, my mom, and grandparents hid it from me my entire life. I never got to meet my real dad, but I knew Ed Pegram 14 months before his death. My mom was questioned about it before her death, but she just said "it's possible." I don't hate my mom for this. In the end of her life she gave me a great gift of a new family to explore. My entire genealogy is wrong on my paternal side. It will need to be corrected.

A photo of my parents Warren Lee Lewis & Agnes Lounette Patterson They met in Jacksonville, FL. He was standing on a corner with a friend and my mom gave him and friend a ride up town. They dated about two weeks before they married at NASJax. This pic was taken in the drive way of Agnes parents house at 1655 Woodmere Dr. 1943

This photo is of my mom and my true father, Warren Lee Lewis, and her second husband, on their wedding day. Picture was taken at my maternal grandparents house.

A photo of Edward Hodge Pegram & his second wife, and my mom, Agnes Lounette Patterson Billings. I took this picture at my house. I thought at the time Ed was my father, since his name was on my birth certificate. I would find out in 2015, 35 years later, that Ed was my step-father, and my dad was my mom's second husband, Warren Lee Lewis. Ed was my mom's third husband. I didn't meet him till 1979. I knew him 14 months, before he died. We went camping, and he went fishing with his grandson, that turned out to be no kinship after all.
