Ada Muriel (Pinney) Rowe of Footscray, City of Maribyrnong County, VIC Australia was born in 1888 in Hamilton, Southern Grampians Shire County to Samuel Francis Pinney and Lilian Susan (Finn) Pinney. She had siblings Lilian Debro Pinney, Edith Annie Pinney, and Lilian Deborah Pinney. She married Albert John Rowe in 1915, and had children Edna Muriel Row and Dothy Hilda Rowe. Ada Rowe died at age 76 years old in 1964 in Footscray, City of Maribyrnong County.

In 1888, in the year that Ada Muriel Pinney was born, on January 12th, the 'Schoolhouse Blizzard' blanketed Dakota Territory. Montana, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Texas were hit, leaving 235 dead. Many of those who perished were children on their way home from school. The day was relatively warm when it began and the blizzard hit unexpectedly, catching most by surprise.

In 1895, she was merely 7 years old when on March 15th, in County Tipperary, Ireland, Michael Cleary killed his wife of 8 years, Bridget, and burned her body. His defense was that his "wife" was a changeling that was left in his real wife's place when she was abducted by fairies. He was nonetheless convicted and imprisoned for manslaughter. He spent 15 years in prison.
