Abraham Familant eloped with the love of his life Elizabeth Dauber Holzman on December 14, 1941. They later had a religious ceremony before their family and loved ones on June 14, 1942. The late Judge James Lawton was the emcee at their wedding reception. The had two daughters Cheryl Martha and Karen Beth Familant. Both daughters have Bachelor's and Master's Degrees and dearly loved their father. He was a devoted husband, an avid Red Sox Fan, and had a wicked funny sense of humor. Being the youngest of 9 children, he was the clown and entertainer of the family.
Unfortunately though he lived a fairly long life, dying ay the age of 82, he never saw his beloved Sox win t3 World Series. He was a good friend of Rock Marciano and Ali Columbo who lived close to his grocery store in the 1950's.. He loved all animals especially dogs.
All his neighbors on Summer Street in Brockton, MA considered him a friend and a kind and gentle man.
