Stanley Joseph Sidga was born on November 8, 1915 in Chester, PA to Polish immigrant parents John Michael Sigda (1887-1972) and Regina Krasza (1889-1973). He grew up in Chester with siblings including Helen (1917-1962) and Mary Sigda-Matys (1918-2008). He enlisted on May 6, 1942 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and served in the US Army from May 6, 1942 until Jan 29, 1946. Stanley was married to Margaret Katherine Reilly (1920-2007) and they had a daughter together.

Stanley Frank Sigda is the son of Stanley A Sigda (1897-1978) and Aniela Lizak (1893-1984). He was born on August 23, 1926 in Holyoke Hamp, Massachusetts and grew up there with his siblings; Helen (1918-2007) and Genevieve Arlene Sigda (1921-1979). He also had two half siblings, Joseph and Mary Sigda. He was a graduate of Holyoke High School in Holyoke, Hampden County, Massachusetts, United States and later went on to attend and graduate from Boston University. Both he and his future wife Wanda attended and graduated from Holyoke High. Stanley enlisted on October 25, 1944 in Springfield Massachusetts and served in the US Army from October 25, 1944 until November 22, 1946. Stanley married Wanda Ciskowski on November 22, 1950/1951 and they were married for 29 years. Together they had a daughter, Darlene Sigda. Stanley was employed as an auditor at Sears, Roebuck & Co. for 25 years.
