Rocco Anthony Santarsiero was born on December 26, 1918 in New York, New York to parents Anthony V Santarsicko and Carmela M Telesca.
He was raised in New York and later moved to New Jersey where he lived in Lakewood, Ocean, New Jersey, USA.
Rocco Santarsiero registered for the draft on October 16, 1940, in New York City, New York, when he was 21 years old. A few years later, he enlisted in the military on April 9, 1943, in New York City, New York, and was a Private in the Selectees (enlisted Men).
Rocco Santarsciero is the son of Mathhew and May Santarsciero. He was the youngest of a big family with older siblings Donata, William, Patsy, Troy, Emily, Charles, and Joseph Santarsciero. They lived in Port Chester, Westchester, New York, USA.
At the time of his registration for the World War II Draft he was 18 years old and a student at Port Chester High School. He had a ruddy complexion, brown hair, and brown eyes, weighed 135 pounds, and stood at 5' 4''.
On February 19, 1943, Rocco then enlisted in New York City, New York. He joined the military under the Branch Immaterial - Warrant Officers, USA, as a Private, Selectee (enlisted men).
On May 8, 1941 he married Ruth Tassiello in Manhattan, NY. The couple had two daughters together; Barbara and Ellen Santarsciero. The family lived in New York City and Rocco was working as a freight handler.
Rocco Santarsiero of Saint Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota was born on September 20, 1889, and died at age 82 years old in March 1972.
