Justin was a good friend of mine in elementary school. I often think and dream about him. He was very smart and fun to hang out with. His grandfather was a friend of my grandfathers and we lived on the same block. He’d come to my house in 1st grade. Just was an outgoing and confident kid in elementary school. He was funny and always had the inside info on things. He taught me about fools gold and Nike Airs. Told me they could make you jump a few feet higher. Justin and I, were obsessed with Ewoks at this age. We would pretend we were Ewoks so much that we would speak like them to each other. We even convinced classmates we knew the language. We started playing guitar around the same age and grew apart before he passed away in 10th grade. It was a life changing experience for me to lose him. Rest In Peace. Gone but not forgotten.
