    I worked with Heidi in Orillia between the years of 1986-1988. She was a beautiful young woman. I don't know much about her after working those few years with her. I have thought of her often though and I only discovered she had passed away in 2008 recently. From my understanding she married a Mr. Cunningham and had 3 children with him and they moved to the United States Rest in peace my beautiful friend, You lit up the room and made everyone happy everyday.

    IN LOVING MEMORY Heidi Paula Gordash Cunningham's life was suddenly and tragically cut short in her 39th year, in Richmond VA on or about May 2nd. Heidi was the loving mother of Julia (7), Grant (4) and Charlotte (1). She was the loving daughter of Steve and Heidi Gordash of Orillia, loving granddaughter of Rokus Bezemer, 98, of Trillium Manor. Loving granddaughter of Anna Bezemer and Polly Gordash, both predeceased. She is survived by her brothers Tim (Lerma) Gordash of Toronto, Matthew (Lisa) Gordash of Barrie and her sister Denise (Garry, Olivia) Poehls of Vancouver. We Made Each Other Strong My Friend, I do not wish for you to go But life will not wait for us, I know Don't look back and see the tears streaking down my face In my heart, You will never be replaced Hold tight for today and it will take you to tomorrow Hold your head high, and you will see the sorrow will soon fade away with a dream that is yet to be We're going to be the best of all, just wait and see! Take me with you when you go. I'll stay forever in your heart That way we'll never have to say we lost a part of ourselves You're just the part of me I can't let go And I thank God you are a friend I'll always know So thank you for growing up with me my friend, Parting now, we will reach for the stars and see that it is not an end But a beginning of a life we've dreamt of for so long Now it's time to show the world We have made each other strong Poem by Heidi P Gordash, Cunningham 11088045

Heidi was a beautiful soul, she loved everyone she met. Her background at the time was Jehovah Witness but she made her friends feel special on their birthdays and on other celebrated occasions. I remember getting gifts from her and she would do so in a manner that suggested she didn't want her friends not thinking she respected their own beliefs of Christmas. She left a strong impact on me during the few years I knew her and thought of her often and tried to locate her for several years without success. I did not realize she had married and moved to the United States. It is with great sorrow I discovered her fate today. You will be forever remembered Heidi. Rest in Peace beautiful.
