George Clooney was born to parents are Nick Clooney (1934-) and Nina Bruce Warren Clooney (1939-). His father is a former television host and anchorman while his mother is a former beauty queen and city councilwoman.
He attended and graduated from Augusta High School in Augusta, Kentucky where he showed an interest baseball and also participated in drama productions. After high school, Clooney enrolled at Northern Kentucky University, where he studied broadcast journalism.
His acting career began in the 1990's where he gained recognition and fame for his portrayal of Dr. Doug Ross in the medical drama series "ER." From there he starred in roles such as "Jack Foley" in "Out of Sight" (1998), "Ulysses Everett McGill" in "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000), "Michael Clayton" in "Michael Clayton" (2007) in which Clooney won the Academy Award for Best Actor, "Bob Barnes" in "Syriana" (2005) where Clooney received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, "Ryan Bingham" in "Up in the Air" (2009) and many more.
