Charles Philip Policastro is the son of Joseph “Giuseppe” Policastro Sr (1885-1965) and Rachel Calabrese (1887-1962). He was born on October 11, 1919 in Lodi, New Jersey and grew up in a large family with siblings including Mary, Anna, Frances, Anthony, Dominick, Thomas, Mildred, Patsy, Joseph, and Michael Policastro. In 1948 he married Concetta Jean DePalma (1926–1990) in New Jersey, USA. The couple had two children together including a son Gary F. Policastro (1951-2015).
