Bill Rees was born William Eugene Rees and was an anchor for several stations and also worked for Channel 11 KPLR for 17 years. Before Bill joined KPLR, Rees began his media career at WBKV radio in Richmond, Indiana, and also worked for WAVI in Dayton, Ohio & WOWO-TV in Fort Wayne, WCFL in Chicago, Illinois and also became a Daytime News Anchor for ABC Radio back in 1972. Bill began his TV career at WTOL-TV in Toledo, Ohio as a News Anchor back in 1973, and Rees joined KPLR Channel 11 back in 1978, a news program called NewsWatch and won several emmy awards for his documentary work. He was married to Alice Jones in 1962.
