The Korean Conflict, also known as the Korean War, was a conflict between North Korea, which was supported by the Soviet Union and China, and South Korea, which was supported by the United States and other United Nations countries. The conflict began on June 25, 1950, when North Korea invaded South Korea.

The war had a significant impact on the Korean Peninsula and the world, resulting in the loss of approximately 2.5 million lives and leading to the division of Korea into North and South. The fighting ended on July 27, 1953, with the signing of the Armistice Agreement, which established a demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. The conflict was significant because it marked the first time that the United Nations intervened militarily to prevent aggression by one nation against another. However, the Conflict has never officially ended because it ended in an armistice, not a peace treaty.
